Job summary

CBTS is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Lead Operations Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our IT Engineering team. You will lead Azure environments, coordinate with Cloud Engineering, and ensure secure, scalable operations.

The role requires strong scripting, IaC, and DevOps experience, including ARM, Terraform, AKS, and Azure DevOps. You will participate in on-call rotations and help optimize incident response and change management.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Azure Portal.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure security including RBAC, NSGs, Azure Policy, and Key Vault.
• Experience with Azure networking: VNet, DNS, Load Balancer, ExpressRoute, Front Door.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Security Center, Application Insights.
• IaC experience with ARM templates and Terraform.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Experience in Agile or DevOps environments.
• Coding in Python, Ruby, PowerShell, JSON, JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Azure cloud environments managed by Cloud Engineering teams.
• Resolve issues related to applications, connectivity, and operations in Azure.
• Create, modify, and remove Azure environments, topologies, and instances.
• Monitor and manage Azure infrastructure for performance, scalability, and security.
• Document operational processes and coordinate issue resolution with stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support.

Azure Cloud Lead Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Operations Lead Engineer with 8 to 10 years’ experience specializing in Azure to join our IT Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Azure services, environments, and cloud infrastructure management. You will be responsible for leading issue resolution, coordinating with relevant teams, and maintaining the Azure cloud environments to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintenance of complex Azure cloud environments created and maintained by the Cloud Engineering teams.
• Engage with and resolve issues related to applications, connectivity, and other operational concerns within Azure environments.
• Maintain and support various Azure environments, including creating, modifying, and removing environments, topologies, and instances.
• Monitor and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering teams to understand environment configurations and potential impact areas.
• Document and update operational processes and support procedures specific to Azure and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Ensure efficiency in key metrics, such as the number of incidents resolved and changes implemented in Azure environments.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Azure Portal.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure security practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), network security groups (NSGs), Azure Policy, and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience with Azure networking services: Virtual Networks, Azure DNS, Load Balancer, ExpressRoute, and Azure Front Door.
• Familiarity with Azure monitoring and management tools: Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Security Center, and Application Insights.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using ARM templates and terraform.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment.
• Coding skills in Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Json, and Java Script are desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Flexible, able to change direction quickly, demonstrated attention to detail and quality.
• Willingness to work till 11 PM IST and extend as required to meet any business requirements.
