Job summary

Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) seeks a Tier III Azure & Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer to support federal and commercial clients across the United States. The role focuses on enterprise cloud operations, security, and platform modernization.

The engineer will manage Azure subscriptions, Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and RBAC, develop automation with PowerShell, and contribute to continuous improvement of operations and documentation. U.S. Citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure or cloud operations experience.
• 3+ years administering Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and RBAC.
• Experience with PowerShell automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier III support for Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage Azure subscriptions, landing zones, resource groups, and platform services.
• Support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
• Develop automation and runbooks; create platform documentation.
• Coordinate escalations with Microsoft and third-party providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier III support for Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage Azure subscriptions, landing zones, resource groups, and platform services.
• Support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
• Manage Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management configurations.
• Support monitoring, alerting, backup, recovery, and operational readiness activities.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud connectivity and tenant issues.
• Support infrastructure modernization and migration initiatives.
• Develop automation using PowerShell and cloud-native tooling.
• Create SOPs, runbooks, and platform architecture documentation.
• Participate in service reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
• Support KPI and SLA performance reporting.
• Coordinate escalations with Microsoft and third-party support providers.
• Conduct knowledge transfer activities for client personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure or cloud operations experience.
• 3+ years administering Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and RBAC.
• Experience with PowerShell automation.
• Experience supporting enterprise cloud operations.
• Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
• Successful drug screening.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

Location/Work Arrangement

• Schedule is full-time, Monday – Friday 40-hour week, 4/10’s, or 9/80’s and may require on call or overnight shifts depending on the needs of the specific contract.
• This position may be fully onsite or hybrid/remote depending on the needs of the specific contract.

Starting compensation for this role typical salary ranges between $110,000 and $145,000 annually is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
