Job summary

The State of North Carolina Department of Information Technology is seeking an Applications Systems Specialist I to join the Microsoft 365 Service Operations group. You will serve as a lead SME and product specialist for the M365 service, designing, implementing, and delivering advanced support for services deployed on M365 platforms by NCDIT and partner agencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field with four years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development.
Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field with five years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development.
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting M365 services aligned with configuration standards and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Serve as the highest level of technical support for the most difficult M365 problems.
Perform high-level troubleshooting of very technical M365 issues.
Consult management on policies, operations, controls, and standardization to lower TCO of Microsoft 365 across the state.
Participate on project teams focusing on Microsoft 365 infrastructure to address IT information issues.
Implement new releases of service components following change, configuration, and release management processes.
Develop implementation and deployment plans and coordinate with agencies before and during project activity.
Ensure application availability, correct configurations, and provide oversight of Microsoft 365 Suite.
