Advanced Personnel Resources, Inc. is seeking a Microbiology Technician – Sample Testing in Greensboro, NC to prepare samples and perform microbiological analyses in a professional lab.

The role emphasizes aseptic techniques, accurate documentation, and quality control, with initial training and international travel insofar as training requires. The position offers 40-hour weeks, a pay rate of $20.00 per hour, and temp-to-hire employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous microbiology laboratory experience required.
• 2+ years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Life Science, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of microbiology laboratory concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• Ability to work safely around laboratory chemicals, biological materials, and testing equipment.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Prepare samples for microbiological and analytical testing
• Perform testing for indicator organisms, pathogens, and related analyses
• Apply proper aseptic techniques throughout daily laboratory activities
• Prepare and maintain media and reagents used for microbiological testing
• Perform routine quality control activities, including incubator temperature monitoring, control organisms, and media controls
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
• Assist with inventory and communicate supply and material needs
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of laboratory work areas and equipment
• Follow established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Independently complete assigned processes and procedures while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Support additional laboratory testing and activities based on workload and business needs
