Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES in Columbus, OH is seeking a Microbiology Technician - Plating to join our public health mission. You will prepare samples, plate them, and maintain documentation to support testing procedures in a on-site laboratory.

The role requires an HS Diploma with 1+ year lab experience, strong time management, attention to detail, and familiarity with LIMS and safety policies. Training and full-time benefits are provided in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 1+ year relevant work experience.
• Basic science knowledge to perform testing accurately.
• Familiarity with data entry on computers.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis and record data.
• Label plates with client and sample numbers.
• Pipette solution into tubes or plates as per protocol.
• Pour agar into plates to begin growth.
• Incubate plates at required times and temperatures.
• Maintain LIMS and document processes.
• Set up equipment and materials for analysis.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety in the lab.
