Job summary

Alcon is seeking an Associate I, Quality Control Lab - Microbiology to perform microbiological analyses and support lab operations. The role emphasizes environmental monitoring, aseptic practices, and adherence to quality standards.

The position requires a Biology/Microbiology degree or equivalent experience, English fluency, and 1st shift hours in a lab environment. Onsite work with relocation possible and sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading/writing/comprehension in English.
• Strong microbiology knowledge and analytical thinking.
• Familiarity with GDP and GMP principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced microbiological analysis of materials, finished goods, and samples per SOPs.
• Conduct environmental monitoring and maintain aseptic practices in the Quality Control Lab.
• Record, calculate, interpret, and report microbiological results in required systems.
• Support product and process validation, release, and regulatory compliance.
• Own and revise SOPs and ATPs related to microbiological testing and equipment.
• Train team members on microbiological methods and internal procedures.
• Ensure documentation adheres to GDP and GMP standards.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing processes.
• Utilize LIMS, TrackWise, and Metasys in workflows.
