Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Technician I in Quality Control Lab - Microbiology to perform microbiological analyses, maintain lab equipment, and support product validation in a compliant environment. You will log results, follow SOPs, and collaborate with other departments to ensure regulatory and company standards are met.

The role emphasizes adherence to GxP, thorough data entry, and participation in continuous improvement while working 1st shift onsite in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent reading, writing, understanding and communication in English.
• Onsite work in Houston, TX; 1st shift 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST; travel 0–10%.

Responsibilities

• Handle specific microbiological tasks, supporting operations and contributing to efficiency within defined procedures.
• Analyze various microbiological samples, ensuring accuracy and precision of analyses.
• Maintain lab equipment to support product and process validation, product release, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Complete required training and contribute to continuous improvement and overall compliance.
