Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC seeks a Medical Technologist I for the Microbiology Laboratory. You will perform complex microbiology testing, deliver accurate results, and collaborate with pathologists and clinicians to uphold quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related field is required.
• ASCP MT(ASCP) registry or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Core Lab, Hematology, and Chemistry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with pathologists, clinicians, and staff to assist during testing and training sessions.
• Perform QC and complex patient testing; maintain competency in routine and specialty areas.
• Test patient and QC materials and report results per policy.
