Job summary

Medical Center Enterprise is seeking a Medical Technologist I for our Microbiology lab. The role runs 8:30a-5p with rotating weekends and will require microbiology bench training as the primary microbiologist for weekend shifts.

The candidate will perform routine and specialized tests on blood and body fluids, adhere to QC protocols, troubleshoot instruments, and assist with data collection for regulatory compliance. Teaching and phlebotomy may be included as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• ASCP/AMT/AAB certification required.
• 0–2 years of acute care laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately with documentation.
• Maintains quality control procedures and instrument maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and communicates issues.
• Supports regulatory compliance and data collection for accreditation.
• May perform phlebotomy duties and assist in teaching new personnel.
