Job summary

Howard University Hospital seeks an experienced Medical Technologist Generalist II to perform routine and complex clinical testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology. You will mentor MT I staff and students while resolving instrument issues in a teaching hospital setting.

The role requires strong quality focus, knowledge of safety and compliance, and the ability to work independently in a 24/7 clinical laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in medical technology or related field.
• ASCP MT or H/C registry or equivalent.
• Experience in accredited laboratory settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient and QC testing across disciplines.
• Report results per policy and maintain competency.
• Mentor MT I staff and students as needed.
• Ensure timely communication of critical values.
