Job summary

Indiana University Health in Indianapolis seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist for the M-Pathology Lab. The role performs laboratory tests on patient specimens and contributes to diagnosis and treatment, following SOPs and quality controls.

Requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related sciences, plus certification eligibility (ASCP/AMT/NCA) within 12 months; 1 year relevant experience preferred. Part-time day shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences is required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Certification or eligibility for board certification by ASCP; AMT; NCA or equivalent certification is required; must be obtained within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on patient specimens and provide information for diagnosis, treatment or prevention of diseases.
• Maintain records of performance and ensure results meet quality control standards.
• May participate in research and development activities and training of staff and students.
• Follow standard operating procedures and work independently while handling interruptions and concurrent tasks.
