Indiana University Health is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician for the M-Pathology Lab in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves processing specimens, performing hematology and chemistry testing, and ensuring accuracy under supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining quality records, assisting with procedure development, and troubleshooting instrumentation. A related science degree is required; certification within 12 months may be required for some tracks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related science (Certification not required).
• Associate degree with certification (NCA, AMT, ASCP, HEW, CLA) within 12 months of employment.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Working knowledge of laboratory testing equipment and maintenance.
• Ability to maintain quality control and documentation.
• Working knowledge of computers and laboratory safety regulations.

Responsabilités

• Assist with laboratory testing on patient specimens under direction.
• Maintain records of performance and generate acceptable test results.
• Develop and modify procedures as outlined by management or lab director.
• Process specimens and run hematology and chemistry analyzers (Sysmex & Cobas).
• Troubleshoot, operate as a single technician with minimal support; phlebotomy a plus.
