Job summary

Indiana University Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for the M-Pathology Lab. You will perform laboratory tests on patient specimens and contribute to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, while maintaining records and ensuring quality control.

This full-time day shift requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related sciences, and certification eligibility with ASCP/AMT/NCA, with mandatory certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related sciences.
Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience.
Certification or eligibility for board certification by ASCP; AMT; NCA or equivalent.
Certification must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
Ability to maintain quality control and record keeping.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory tests on patient specimens and provide results for diagnosis and treatment.
Maintain records of performance and quality control.
May participate in research and development activities and assist training.
