Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company Massillon facility is seeking a microbiology QA technician to conduct and record tests on ingredients, finished products and the environment. You will follow AOAC methods, manage hold procedures, and participate in QA audits to ensure compliance with USDA/FDA standards.

Starting wage is $29.00–$32.00 per hour, with responsibilities including data recording, maintaining inventory of lab supplies, and communicating findings to QA Supervisors.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry or related sciences; or 2–4 years related experience.
• Experiences with QA documentation and lab SOPs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and records microbiological tests on ingredients, finished product, equipment and environment.
• Perform AOAC approved tests for total plate count, coliform, E. coli, Staph aureus, Salmonella, Listeria, Yeast and Mold; use VIDAS.
• Maintain Hold lists for non-compliant product and communicate results to QA.
• Purchase and maintain inventories of lab equipment and chemicals.
• Prepare, file, and maintain QA paperwork and run lab audits as directed.
