Job summary

Fresh Mark in Massillon, Ohio, is seeking a Quality Technician to perform a variety of quality control tests across receiving, manufacturing and processing to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications.

The role requires a 2-year degree or certificate in food science (HS diploma required) and 1+ year QA experience in a food facility; sponsorship is not available. Benefits include comprehensive health care and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or certificate in food science or related subject preferred; HS diploma required.
• One or more years of QA or related experience in a food processing facility preferred.
• Sponsorship not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical, analytical and microbial testing per QA manual and procedures.
• Coordinate production sanitation and environmental testing program.
• Communicates test results to QA management, Production, and Sanitation staff.
• Assists line technicians and in the Sample Retain Program.
• Prepares production line QA Stations and calibrates equipment for processing as needed.
• Maintains accurate QA records and USDA pre-shipment records.
• Provide independent oversight of processes and report deviations to management.
• Assist in training employees on food safety, company processes and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Attends all department trainings.
