GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor-Microbiology to oversee the operation of the Microbiology Laboratory, ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient services. Responsibilities include staff management, protocol development, QA/QC, and coordination with LIS/MIS, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in medical technology, 4 years in microbiology, and active certification.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent per CLIA regulations.
• 4 years of progressively responsible Microbiology experience after degree.
• Certification by a recognized agency; Specialist in Microbiology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews results for accuracy and validity.
• Performs bench duties as workload demands.
• Develops and implements protocols for technical procedures with accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensures regulatory and accrediting compliance.
• Facilitates QA/QC programs, test selection and utilization.
• Maintains a safe environment following universal precautions.
• Assesses instrumentation and supplies; recommends purchases and maintenance.
• Manages personnel matters including hiring, training and performance management.
• Interfaces with LIS/MIS to improve department operations and financial reporting.
• Analyzes workflow for efficiency and budget alignment; prepares cost and productivity reports.
