Qualifications

• 2-5 years Microbiology Clinical Laboratory Experience.
• CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist License or Clinical Microbiologist License.
• 2 years leadership experience in an acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with selecting methodologies and instrumentation for microbiology tests.
• Validates and implements new instrumentation; standardizes test procedures.
• Ensures quality control and proficiency testing in the microbiology lab.
• Reviews the work of others to ensure tests are performed to standards.
• Oversees operations to meet CLIA requirements and department goals.
