Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Microbiology Manager to lead the microbiology department and drive high performance in a regulated environment.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, MT(ASCP)/CLS(ASCP) or MT(AMT) certification, and 5–10 years in microbiology with some management experience preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related area of specialty.
• MT(ASCP), CLS(ASCP), or MT(AMT) certification required.
• 5+ years of laboratory experience; 2–5 years of management experience preferred; 5–10 years of microbiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the microbiology department, ensuring high performance and regulatory standards.
• Organize resources, direct personnel, and develop policies under the medical director.
• Communicate with transparency and foster a positive, process-driven, patient-care-focused environment.
