Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• 5+ years of clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety policies including PPE and handwashing; completes required training for hazardous waste handling.
• Leads and participates in laboratory performance improvement activities.
• Manages budgeting, department metrics, goals, quality initiatives, inventory and labor.
• Oversees staff scheduling and ensures alignment with workload to minimize overtime.
• Ensures compliance with accrediting body standards and regulatory requirements.
• Reads and interprets complex test results; serves as a resource for testing procedures.
• Supervises hiring, coaching, and staff evaluations with leadership support.
