Job summary

Perrigo is seeking a Microbiology Lab Supervisor in New York to lead a team of microbiologists conducting testing of pharmaceutical materials and products, ensuring compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations. The role serves as a microbiology SME for risk assessments and supports manufacturing, packaging, engineering, and validation.

Schedule: first shift, Monday–Friday with occasional weekend on-call. Bachelor's degree in Biology/Microbiology and 3+ years GMP lab experience, plus 1+ year

Qualifications

• Three+ years in a GMP laboratory environment.
• Minimum one year supervisory experience.
• Implement and monitor data integrity controls.
• Oversee daily micro lab activities including scheduling.
• Ensure cGMP and FDA compliance across lab operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of microbiologists for testing materials and products.
• Ensure cGMP compliance and adherence to SOPs.
• Serve as SME for microbial risk assessments in projects.
• Maintain inspection readiness for audits.
• Author and revise SOPs and test methods.
• Investigate OOS or atypical results and CAPAs.
• Monitor lab performance and safety metrics.
