2nd Shift – 3:15 pm to 1:45 am, Monday to Thursday (4/10), overtime on Friday/Saturday

Employment Status

Full-Time, Hourly – Non-exempt

Job Output

The Micro-Perf Machine Operator is responsible for safely producing quality perforated wood veneer and high‑pressure laminate products made through our Micro‑Perf Machine.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Produce customer orders, inventory, product samples and prototypes
• Maintain safety and well‑being of self and associates within the facility
• Ensure high attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work
• Operate the Micro‑Perf Machine safely and keep the work area safe
• Communicate with the team to meet safety, quality and delivery expectations
• Accurately complete all paperwork entering and leaving the machine

Required Skills

• Understand MDs, set‑up sheets, purchase orders and take‑offs
• Identify cut, match and species of veneer
• Set up the machine independently
• Identify veneer imperfections and color variations
• Read and follow purchase orders, standard worksheets, manufacturing drawings, routers and travelers
• Start up, shut down and make machine adjustments
• Retain information and follow instructions
• Read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Perform overtime as needed
• Mechanical inclination and ability to troubleshoot and make micro‑adjustments
• Team player environment focused on safety and quality

Technician Skills (If Applicable)

• Grease and maintain the machine
• Replace broken pins and diagnose causes
• Disassemble and re‑assemble tooling
• Fine‑tune machine adjustments
• Schedule sharpening and prepare tooling

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of wood products and finishing
• 1‑3 years past manufacturing experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Demands

Regular speaking or hearing; frequent standing, walking and use of hands; occasional sitting; lift up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally. Required vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Manufacturing setting with occasional hot/cold temperatures, uneven walking surfaces, cords, tools, intermittent loud noises and dusty conditions. Required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel‑toe shoes, and additional department PPE.

Education and Experience

No minimum education or experience required.

Certificates and Licenses

Preferred: OSHA 10‑hour training.
