Physicians Regional Healthcare System is seeking a Medical Technologist I to perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood and body fluids, ensuring accurate results and adherence to quality control. May include teaching, phlebotomy duties, and regulatory data collection.

The role requires 0–2 years of acute care experience and a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related field. Day shifts in Naples, FL with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field is required.
• Passing CLT Proficiency exam (HEW) required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity tests accurately and reports results with proper documentation.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and analyzes data to resolve issues.
• Performs instrument function checks and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and PPE usage.
• Communicates results and issues with team and supervisors.
• Assists with proficiency testing and regulatory data collection.
• Collects urine drug screens and may perform phlebotomy duties as needed.
• Collaborates to complete shift tasks and department duties.
