Job description

Our Client, a Manufacturing and Distribution Facilities company, is seeking a Micro Lab Technician for their Ada, MI location.

Responsibilities:

1. Supporting testing and release of raw materials, finished consumer goods, and environmental samples.
2. This first shift position involves working as part of a cohesive laboratory team, often on a rotational schedule to keep the work engaging and ensure workload coverage. You will be trained on various techniques within the micro laboratory and will participate in team meetings. Daily duties may include cleaning, record keeping, media preparation, and equipment calibration. After training, occasional weekend work may be required.

Requirements:

1. Flexible team player
2. Attention to detail
3. Effective communication skills with the ability to escalate issues to leadership
4. Physical ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs
5. Preferred: GMP microbiology laboratory experience
6. Laboratory experience (educational or industry-based)
7. Ability to follow SOPs and test methods
8. Education: 2 years of college in a science-related field or demonstrated microbiology laboratory experience
