Job Description

The NOC Technician will provide on-shift surveillance, management, advanced-level troubleshooting response, and trouble resolution of the company's Wireless Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment and/or Core Transport Network. The goal is to maximize network availability by restoring service promptly and minimizing field technician calls.

Essential Duties

1. Monitor the network and network elements; investigate and determine causes of network events and alarms. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance. Respond to outages, work with technical teams to restore service, and initiate disaster recovery if needed.
2. Provide technical training and oversight to junior technicians, using network events as teaching opportunities.
3. Interact professionally with customers, internal staff, and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
4. Compile and submit reports on network status and activity, and notify management as per protocol.
5. Perform other duties to ensure proper operation of the network.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of DOS/Windows/UNIX/Open view and related applications
• Ability to train and guide less experienced staff
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism; capable of handling stress diplomatically
• High initiative, ability to prioritize, and handle multiple tasks

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a telecommunications environment
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Associates' degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and good driving record (if applicable)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Benefits may include:
