Job summary

Patty O's Café & Bakery, located in Washington, Virginia, is part of Patrick O'Connell's renowned restaurant group. The bakery offers American classics, dream-like murals, cocktails, and a grab-and-go bakery of French-inspired pastries.

The Baker will support the Head Baker and Sous Chef, manage rotating bread selections, and uphold strict standards of quality and safety in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years bakery experience, preferably at a fine-dining or Michelin level.
• Associates Degree in Culinary Arts.
• Servsafe certification within six months of full time employment.
• Strong knowledge and ability in all fundamental baking and pastry technique and preparations.
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor all staff members.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent knife skills and bakery techniques with safe operation of equipment.
• Maintain recipes and standards for product preparation and execution.
• Organize and update all recipes and standards for production.
• Manage projects assigned by management and ensure a clean, sanitary workplace.
