Job summary

The Inn at Little Washington is seeking a skilled Baker to support the Head Baker and Bakery Sous Chef in all facets of the bakery operation. You will manage a rotating selection of breads daily and seasonally, ensure on-time production, and uphold high standards in a fine dining environment.

You will train and mentor staff, maintain recipes, and coordinate with kitchen teams to deliver breads across the property, while following Virginia health regulations and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years bakery experience, preferably at a fine-dining or Michelin level.
• Associates Degree in Culinary Arts.
• Servsafe certification within six months of full time employment.
• Strong knowledge and ability in all fundamental baking and pastry technique and preparations
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor all staff members.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent knife skills and expert knowledge of baking and pastry techniques.
• Organizes recipes and standards for product preparation and execution.
• Manage projects assigned by management and ensure a clean, sanitary work environment.
• Communicate timelines and assist in delivering bread to kitchens around property.
• Wrap, label, and rotate breads daily and ensure proper temperature for delivery.
