Job summary

UPS is seeking an HR Intern with a focus on Data Analytics for our Global Headquarters. The internship offers hands-on analytics work, mentorship, and a capstone project presented to the HR Leadership Team. Relocation or on-site work at the Atlanta, GA location is required for the duration of the internship.

You will analyze data, build dashboards, and support HR processes while engaging with mentors and diverse stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program or recent graduate in HR, Analytics, or related field.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into insights and communicate them clearly.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, interpret findings, and communicate insights
• Experience with data visualization, dashboards, or reporting tools (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis); Power BI or similar tools a plus
• Solid research, organizational, and project management skills
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and applying structured problem‑solving approaches
• High level of initiative, accountability, and results orientation
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning

Basic Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S. Ability to work in or relocate to the job location for the duration of the internship Currently enrolled in a graduate program or anticipated graduation date withing the next year or recent master graduate with coursework in Human Resources, Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
