Job summary

Chapman University in Orange, CA, seeks a Director of the Frances Smith Center for Individual and Family Therapy to oversee daily operations, policy development, and budget management for the MFT program. Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy or related field; CA LMFT license with 2 years post-license and 15 hours supervision training.
• Ability to exercise independent thinking and judgment for clinical and crisis issues.
• Knowledge of BBS regulations and COAMFTE standards applicable to student training.
• Experience interpreting legal/ethical regulations for marriage and family therapy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; public speaking experience.
• Ability to prepare clear documents and reports; data analysis and program management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork within MFT department and university.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
• Capable of training MFT Trainees and developing workshops.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily FSC operations, including intake review to ensure MFT scope and competence.
• Develop and revise Center policies, procedures, and forms.
• Monitor budget and expenses for the Center.
• Coordinate with MFT Department Chair on risk management and COAMFTE accreditation.
• Supervise MFT Trainees and student workers; coordinate supervision.
• Represent the Center at community meetings and referrals.
• Lead monthly clinical supervisor meetings and participate in MPC.
• Ensure compliance with BBS regulations and COAMFTE standards.
• Coordinate University outreach and marketing tools.
