Job summary

Pediatrix & Obstetrix is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our Laguna Hills clinic. The role focuses on detailed fetal imaging, documentation, and collaboration with perinatologists to support high-risk pregnancies.

Responsibilities include performing detailed fetal surveys, assisting with procedures, and documenting findings for physician interpretation. Per-diem schedule and California compliance are emphasized in this team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent
• Maintain or be eligible for ARDMS certification
• ARDMS OB/GYN or Fetal Echo (FE) cert or eligible within 12 months of hire
• Evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements
• NT experience or certification preferred
• CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including twins and triplets
• Assists physicians with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling
• Document exam findings, measurements, images and procedural details
• Record patient history and indications per protocols
• Generate preliminary and final reports for physician review
• Review studies with interpreting physicians to communicate findings
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and accreditation requirements
• Rotate to other locations to cover absences
