Job summary

Goldbelt Glacier Health Services, Llc is seeking qualified MFLC counselors to support military and family readiness in Alaska on an intermittent basis. Primary duties include short-term, non-medical counseling for service members and families, plus outreach and briefings to reduce counseling stigma.

Responsibilities include face-to-face counseling, referrals, and presentations with a focus on stress management and relationship skills within the military context.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of short term, solution focused counseling techniques.
• Understanding of military life and related stressors.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speeches, and to present to groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face, short-term, non-medical counseling to service members and families.
• Make referrals to military and community resources as needed.
• Deliver presentations/briefings using approved materials to individuals and groups.
• Provide outreach to parents and installation staff.
• Submit activity forms daily reflecting 8 hours of direct contact.
