Job summary

Goldbelt Glacier Health Services, LLC seeks a licensed Adult Counselor to support the Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) program in Alaska, providing short-term, non-medical counseling to service members and their families. The role includes individual, couples, and group counseling, plus walk-around outreach and briefings.

Responsibilities include face-to-face counseling, referrals to resources, and collaboration with military POCs to meet contract needs.

Qualifications

• Licensure at independent practice level (LCSW, LMFT, LPC LCPC, LMHC).
• Master’s degree in a mental health-related field such as social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, or counseling.

Responsibilities

• Providing face-to-face, short-term, non-medical counseling to military service members and their families.
• Making appropriate referrals and handoffs to military and community resources.
• Using approved training and materials to provide presentations / briefings to individuals and groups.
• Providing outreach services to parents and the installation command staff.
• Communicating information regarding trends and issues at assigned installation to supervisors.
• Submitting Activity forms daily, to show 8 hours of direct daily contact.
• Reporting time daily for employer and government.
