Job summary

Goldbelt Glacier Health Services, Llc is seeking licensed adult counselors to provide short-term, non-medical counseling to military service members and families in Alaska under the MFLC program. Responsibilities include individual, couples, and group sessions, outreach, and briefings to reduce stigma and strengthen family readiness.

Position requires a master's degree in a mental health field, independent licensure, and ability to travel locally up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health-related field.
• Licensure at independent practice level (LCSW, LMFT, LPC LCPC, LMHC).
• Ability to pass background/suitability checks, including CNACI security clearance.
• Fluency in English.
• A valid driver's license; ability to travel locally as needed.
• Willing to travel 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Providing face-to-face, short-term, non-medical counseling to military service members and their families.
• Making appropriate referrals and handoffs to military and community resources, as needed.
• Using approved training and materials to provide presentations / briefings to individuals and groups.
• Providing referral resources to participants who need a greater level of care or to those that are not eligible for the MFLC program.
• Providing outreach services to parents and the installation command staff.
• Communicating information regarding trends and issues at assigned installation to supervisors.
• Participating in regular in-service training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
• Submitting Activity forms daily, to show 8 hours of direct daily contact.
• Reporting time daily for employer and government.
