Job summary

Goldbelt Glacier-Health Services, LLC seeks licensed counselors to support the Military and Family Life Counseling program in Alaska on an intermittent basis. This standby role provides short-term counseling to service members and families, conducts presentations, and does outreach to installations.

Qualified applicants hold independent licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC/LCPC, LMHC) and a Masters in a mental health field, with experience in military life and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have mental health graduate degree and licensure.
• Experience working with military families is preferred.
• Knowledge of laws and resources relevant to military and civilian contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term, non-medical counseling to service members and families.
• Make referrals to military and community resources as needed.
• Deliver briefings and presentations to individuals and groups.
• Provide outreach to parents and installation staff.
• Submit daily activity forms showing 8 hours of direct contact.
