Job summary

Landstar Transportation Logistics in Laredo, TX seeks a Capacity Development Manager for Mexico cross-border operations. You will develop and manage a network of Mexico-based carriers, align capacity with agent and customer demand, and optimize pricing and performance.

Travel about 25% to Mexico; bilingual in English and Spanish required; bachelor’s degree and 3 years in transportation preferred. You'll collaborate across teams to ensure capacity, pricing, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or capacity development.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a network of qualified Mexico-based carriers to ensure scalable capacity across key lanes.
• Vet partner carriers for current CTPAT validation and regulatory compliance.
• Identify capacity gaps and close them through targeted carrier development and engagement.
• Establish and manage rate structures and capacity commitments with carriers.
• Monitor carrier performance and drive corrective action as needed.
• Collaborate with agents, operations, and facilities to align capacity with execution requirements.
