Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Metrology Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will perform precise inspections and tests on products to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and internal quality standards, collaborating with QA to maintain top quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in metrology, strong blueprint reading skills, and hands-on experience with CMMs, IQMS, and related equipment. A degree in engineering or manufacturing is preferred, with QA certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a Metrology Technician or similar role in manufacturing.
• Proficient with metrology equipment and software applications.
• Solid understanding of ISO 13485, metrology processes, and IQMS.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Track record of maintaining high-quality standards.
• Experience in training others on metrology techniques is a plus.
• Quality Control certification is a plus.
• Engineering, Manufacturing, or related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and data to determine inspection procedures.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure ISO 13485 compliance.

• Monitor quality metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide training on metrology techniques as needed.
• Assist in QA policy and procedure development.
• Utilize IQMS to track and document inspection results.

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Metrology Technician to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precise measurements and tests on our products to ensure they meet the highest quality standards. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of quality control processes. The candidate will be working closely with our Quality Assurance team to ensure that our products are manufactured according to ISO 13485 standards.

Responsibilities

1. 1. Perform routine and complex inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production.
2. 2. Utilize metrology equipment and software to conduct measurements, including calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and vision systems.
3. 3. Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures.
4. 4. Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 standards and other relevant quality regulations.
5. 5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the inspection process.
6. 6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records.
7. 7. Implement and monitor quality control metrics to identify areas of improvement.
8. 8. Conduct training on metrology techniques and equipment to other team members as needed.
9. 9. Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures.
10. 10. Utilize IQMS system for tracking, reporting, and documenting inspection results.

Qualifications

1. 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Metrology Technician or in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
2. 2. Proficient in using metrology equipment and software.
3. 3. Solid understanding and experience with ISO 13485, Metrology, IQMS, and Quality.
4. 4. Strong technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
5. 5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. 6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. 7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. 8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. 9. Proven record of maintaining high-quality standards.
10. 10. Experience in training and mentoring others on metrology techniques and equipment is a plus.
11. 11. Certification in Quality Control or a related field is a plus.
12. 12. A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
