Key responsibilities include optimizing routes, monitoring progress, managing loads, and leveraging overtime or external carriers when needed. A strong safety mindset and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Technical knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective leadership, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dispatch of drivers within the metro-area to maximize efficiency and customer delivery responsiveness.
• Monitor driver progress and adjust schedules as orders come in.
• Maximize truck loads outbound and inbound.
• Optimize use of overtime and outside haulers to deliver superior service.
• Support branches in maintaining customer relations via phone and schedule changes.
