Job summary

Bombardier seeks a Methods Configuration Agent, Electrical Systems to support aerospace manufacturing and configuration changes at our Mexico facility. You will coordinate changes with engineering, parts logistics, quality, and production, and provide technical support on configuration changes and costing.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in aerospace or related fields with a degree in engineering, knowledge of harness manufacturing, and proficiency in CATIA V5, SAP, Mentor Graphics and advanced

  • 1–3 years in aerospace manufacturing, configuration methods, or automotive engineering.
  • Bachelor-level engineering degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of electrical harness manufacturing.
  • Intermediate technical and business English for professional conversations.
  • Familiar with CATIA V5, SAP, Mentor Graphics and office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Harmonize engineering changes and assembly strategies with cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate and prioritize production line config changes with change-management tracking.
  • Provide technical support for configuration changes and manufacturing processes.
  • Define standard times in work instructions for cost accuracy.
  • Document modifications and lessons learned to protect product integrity.
  • Plan engineering requirements for test aircraft, options and spares.
  • Ensure tooling and visual aids function in production environments.
  • Deliver SAE AS9102 documentation for PRE-FAI and FAI per schedule.
  • Define COS delivery conditions for manufacturing flexibility.
  • Participate in governance and project goals for scope, costs, risks.
  • Contribute to New Product Development activities at platform level.

What will be your contribution to the team?
  • Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies by working in close collaboration with Engineering, Parts Logistics, Quality and Production.
  • Implement, coordinate and prioritize production line configuration changes with robust tracking of change management process activities.
  • Provide technical support of configuration changes and manufacturing processes.
  • Define and incorporate standard times in work instructions to ensure proper product costing.
  • Document and promote modifications, standard practices and lessons learned that ensure product integrity in accordance with design requirements.
  • Analyze, plan and implement engineering requirements for test aircraft, option configurations and spares required by the program.
  • Ensure the functionality of the tooling and visual aids used during the implementation in the production line.
  • Deliver the required documentation (SAE AS9102) for PRE-FAI and FAI according to the process established in the schedule.
  • Define the delivery condition (COS) of the materials that guarantee the flexibility in the manufacturing of the product.
  • Participate in governance and visibility for achieving projects goals: content, scope of work, costs, risks.
  • Participate in New Product Development activities at a Platform level
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge and experience
  • You have 1 to 3 years of experience in Aerospace Manufacturing, Configuration Methods Engineering, or an Automotive Product Engineering environment.
  • You have a degree in Aeronautical, Electromechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have knowledge of electrical harness manufacturing.
  • You have an intermediate level of technical and business English and are able to hold professional conversations.
  • You have knowledge of CATIA V5 (or similar tools such as AutoCAD or CorelDRAW), SAP, Mentor Graphics, DIT-MCO equipment, Publisher, advanced Excel, and Office 365.
  • You are a technical professional who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are customer-oriented.
  • You are well organized and possess strong planning and problem-solving skills.
