Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Methods Engineer to support production planning and process improvements. You will assist with calculating feasibility, drafting work documents, and analyzing capacity to optimize manufacturing workflow.

The role requires 0–2 years in Methods or related areas, basic SAP/ACAD/Catia knowledge, and a manufacturing background is preferred. Flexible/hybrid work options are available at Bombardier.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in Methods, Material Planning, or related area.
• Basic knowledge of SAP, ACAD, Catia V4/V5.
• Basic knowledge of Project Management principles.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications.
• Manufacturing background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to General Work Requirements.
• Assists with analyzing feasibility according to optimal methods by assessing costs, impacts and risks of a change in production.
• Assists with drafting the necessary working and repair documents.
• Learns to analyze and estimate PCR (Program Change Request).
• Assists with analyzing equipment and workstation production capacity, and creating task sequencing and capacity analysis.
• Assists with analyzing requirements and initiates production tool purchase orders, including ECAAR.

• Directs Methods Planners in the preparation and revision of manufacturing documents such as MIWOs, LOGs, TWOs, Set-Up Documents (Mfg Work Orders, Work Instructions (LOGs) and Tooling Work Orders)

How to thrive in this role?

• You typically have 0-2 years of experience in Methods, Material Planning, or related area
• You have basic knowledge of SAP, ACAD, Catia V4/V5
• You have basic knowledge of Project Management principles
• You have the ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications
• You have manufacturing background (preferred)
• You have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (preferred)
