Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks a senior technology leader to direct the Metering organization's strategy, delivery, and support of key technology solutions, including metering operations, data management, and Meter-to-Cash processes.

The role partners with business leaders to align roadmaps with operational goals, builds diverse teams, manages budgets, and drives reliable, secure technology services while promoting a strong safety culture and compliant practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering/business or related field.
8+ years of technology experience; 4-6 years of direct supervision preferred.
Experience leading technology teams and budgets.

Responsibilities

Build and lead strategic relationships with operating companies and business leaders.
Provide safety leadership and ensure regulatory and cyber security compliance.
Direct financial forecasting, budgeting, and resource planning for the Technology organization.
Develop and mentor diverse teams delivering reliable technology services and customer experience.
Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning as needed.
Drive projects and services with efficient use of resources and stakeholder communication.
