Job summary

AES Corporation in Kentucky seeks an Electrical Engineer to support metering initiatives and lead technical projects. You will collaborate with internal teams and meter manufacturers to drive improvements in metering systems and processes.

Responsibilities include budgeting, contract review, and developing metering standards; you will contribute to product training and annual planning, leveraging AMR/AMI infrastructure and MV90/MDM platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college and/or university. Study emphasis in power is preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead metering initiatives and provide technical leadership for initiatives within metering.
• Manage projects including evaluating bid proposals, material needs, delivery coordination, and budgeting.
• Provide guidance on AMR/AMI infrastructure, MDM, MV90, and metering.
• Prepare and review contracts, standards, and budgets for capital and O&M.
• Collaborate with internal teams and meter manufacturers to troubleshoot issues.
• Develop and implement annual plans to improve performance and effectiveness.
