Job summary

Global Power Products seeks a Meter Products Specialist to support the electric metering business from inquiry through order and delivery. You will prepare quotations, review drawings, select meters and CTs, and assist with communications, enclosures, and accessories.

The role requires a technical background in electrical products or building systems, with preferred metering experience. Collaboration with sales, engineering, and operations is essential to move projects forward.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, or technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with customers, contractors, distributors, engineers, and sales representatives.
• Organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business software.
• Willingness to learn new products, software, communication protocols, and applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meter quotations and recommended product configurations.
• Review customer requirements, electrical drawings, panel schedules, and specifications.
• Assist with selecting meters, current transformers (CTs), communications, enclosures, and accessories.
• Answer product and application questions from customers and sales representatives.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to keep projects moving from quotation through production.
• Support customized meter applications and coordinate Engineering Change Requests when required.
• Review orders for technical accuracy and confirm project requirements before release to production.
• Prepare and organize submittals, product data, drawings, and project documentation.
