Global Power Products is seeking a Meter Products Specialist to support the continued growth of our electric metering business.

This position will provide technical, quotation, and project support for meter opportunities from initial customer inquiry through order and delivery. The Meter Products Specialist will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, customers, distributors, and independent sales representatives.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background in electrical products, controls, building systems, or a related field. Previous electric metering experience is preferred but not required. We are looking for someone with a solid technical foundation who is interested in learning metering, communications, and energy monitoring applications.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare meter quotations and recommended product configurations.
• Review customer requirements, electrical drawings, panel schedules, and specifications.
• Assist with selecting meters, current transformers (CTs), communications, enclosures, and accessories.
• Answer product and application questions from customers and sales representatives.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to keep projects moving from quotation through production.
• Support customized meter applications and coordinate Engineering Change Requests when required.
• Review orders for technical accuracy and confirm project requirements before release to production.
• Prepare and organize submittals, product data, drawings, and project documentation.
• Support basic meter installation, startup, communications, and troubleshooting questions.
• Assist customers with Ethernet, cellular, cloud connectivity, Modbus, BACnet, and related communication requirements.
• Maintain communication with customers and internal teams throughout the project.
• Help develop application guides, checklists, FAQs, and other tools to improve meter support.

Preferred Background

Candidates should have education or experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Electrical or electronics technology
• Building automation systems (BAS)
• Electrical controls
• Power monitoring or metering
• Technical sales or applications support

A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology, Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
