Job summary

Hoosier Energy seeks a skilled Meter Technician to install, calibrate, test, inspect and maintain metering equipment across distribution substation and transmission systems. You will lead apprentices and coordinate with the Meter Working Foreman on projects and maintenance tasks.

Candidate must have four years of electrical utility experience in meter-related roles and have completed the HEATS Meter Apprentice Program; additional experience may be considered to fit the role.

Qualifications

• Four years of electrical utility experience in Meter Technician or related field.
• Successfully completed the HEATS Meter Apprentice Program; other experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, test, inspect, repair and maintain metering equipment.
• Coordinate with Meter Working Foreman on projects and maintenance work.
• Perform operational tests on substation and transmission metering systems and meter communications.
• Maintain records, sketches and reports related to installation and maintenance of metering equipment.
• Ensure safe work practices and effective field corrections to blueprints as needed.
