Job summary
Tampa Electric Company seeks a Manager, Meter Services to lead specification, testing, maintenance, and procurement of revenue metering and load research equipment. You will supervise more than 35 professionals and ensure safe, compliant service for 685,000 customers across our service area.
You will drive AMI transition, meter initiatives, budgeting, staff development, and coordination with internal and external partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineering Certification in Florida preferred.
- Minimum of six years of work experience in utility operations required.
- Work experience in Meter Operations or Field Operations preferred.
- Three years of supervisory experience required.
- Leadership competencies include collaboration, people development, operational excellence, safety, strategic thinking.
Responsibilities
- Oversee $77M in electric assets and manage annual Meter Operations budget.
- Hire, supervise, and develop staff (supervisors, engineers, planners).
- Ensure compliance with Florida PSC Rules, NERC, and related regulations.
- Lead transition to AMI metering and meter process improvements.
- Participate in industry organizations and meter-related initiatives.
