Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Manager of Meter Services to lead the revenue metering and load research organization in Florida. You will supervise a diverse team of engineers, planners, and technicians while managing budgets, compliance programs, and strategic initiatives such as AMI rollout.

Executives expect strong leadership, budgeting acumen, and the ability to coordinate with regulatory bodies and external vendors to deliver reliable energy services to 685,000 customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Six years of utility operations experience required.
• Three years of supervisory experience required.
• Leadership and organizational skills; ability to work under stress.
• Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes; E&G budgeting.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP and BPC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of revenue metering and related equipment budgets and expenditures.
• Lead and develop supervisory and technical staff for cost-effective operations.
• Ensure compliance with FPSC, NERC, and other regulations.
• Guide transition to AMI metering and related initiatives.
• Drive metering process improvements and industry collaboration.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and vendors.
