Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Manager-level leader for Meter Services to oversee revenue metering operations, testing, maintenance, and procurement. You will manage a staff of 35+ across engineering, supervision, and support roles, ensuring safe and compliant service to hundreds of thousands of customers.

The role requires strategic budgeting, regulatory compliance, and leadership in metering initiatives, with opportunities for growth within TECO’s energy portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in related field.
• Professional Engineering Certification in Florida preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Meter Operations budget: $14M O&M & Capital; develop annual department budget.
• Lead and develop supervisory and technical staff; ensure cost-effective operations.
• Ensure compliance with Florida PSC rules, NERC, and other regs for revenue metering.
• Lead transition to AMI metering and meter process improvements.
• Participate in industry groups related to revenue metering.
