Description

The City of Dublin is accepting applications for the position of Meter Reader. This Team Member will perform routine work in reading and recording water and gas meters consumption. Performs mechanical work in repairing, testing, and replacing water meters. Work involves keeping accurate meter records according to established forms so that proper billing procedures result. Employees normally follow designated routes, receiving specific work instructions and referring unusual questions to the supervisor for a decision. The work involves frequent public contact, often involving complaint situations. Applicants must have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Work is performed under the direction of the Meter Department Supervisor.
