The Meteorologist & Flight Planner analyzes weather, turbulence, and winds aloft to provide precise flight briefs and client support, aiming to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, or Natural Sciences required, or equivalent of 5 years meteorology experience in military service.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime in a high tempo 24/7 operational environment.
• Meteorology or Aviation Management exposure preferred.
• Prior experience or related training preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships.
• Basic PC usage/knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide weather outlooks and preliminary flight plans to clients.
• Provide computerized flight plans, runway analysis, and weight & balance reports.
• Spearhead projects related to aircraft databases, routes, and country databases.
• Analyze weather models (e.g., GFS, ECMWF) and communicate impacts to clients.
• Troubleshoot short notice problems and provide remedies.
