Who You Are:

Opportunities exist for meteorologists to join a dynamic team designed to utilize meteorological analysis to minimize client risk. The team is dedicated to specialized meteorological and climate/resilience services for a wide range of clients. This full-time position will involve preparing weather forecasts.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide written and oral short- and long-term forecast discussion for various site locations by utilizing and interpreting meteorological models, surface and upper air data, satellite, radar, METAR code, and BUFKIT.
• Observe and monitor atmospheric conditions and communicate detailed weather briefings to clients.
• Gather data from sources such as surface or upper air stations, satellites, weather bureaus, or radar for use in meteorological reports or forecasts.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, or a related area.
• 0-5 years of meteorological experience.
• Excellent forecasting skills.
• High degree of attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (briefings, video etc.).
• Ability to deal with stressful weather situations and meeting deadlines along with the ability to distill complex situations down to a simple level when required.
• Able to collaborate in a team setting as well as working independently.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
• Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
• Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

Compensation

Expected Salary: The salary for this position is contingent upon the finalization of the government contract. Once the contract is awarded and finalized, the salary will be determined based on the terms and conditions outlined in the contract.

Location Requirements

The position will primarily work remote.
