Job summary

U.S. Engineering Metalworks in Lawrence, KS is seeking a Project Engineer to organize work, input data, and support estimating, productivity, quality, and safety across our metalworks operations. Candidates should have a B.S.

in engineering or construction management and at least 1 year of related experience; knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing is a plus. The role offers a salary range of $68,000 to $95,000 per year, a year-end bonus, health and retirement benefits, and

Qualifications

• 1+ years of job-related experience.
• General knowledge of commercial/industrial mechanical systems, fabrication, and installation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Continuing Education: demonstrate the ability to learn LEAN processes and estimating productivity to help the Metalworks team achieve goals.
• Safety and Quality: support safety and quality programs and events.
• Culture: align with USE Company Holdings cultural norms and drive excellence.
• Performance: assist with facility support, research operational challenges, and prepare timely, accurate data for team members.
• Estimating: use standard labor tables (MCAA + SMACNA) to generate labor estimates; price non-standard work accordingly.
